Chris Chilen, PA-C
A Colorado native, Chris Chilen was born in Fort Collins. Always involved in sports, a career in sports medicine and orthopedics was an inevitability, beginning as a sports medicine intern while an undergraduate at CU. He continued working with athletes while in graduate school at CSU studying biomechanics, completing his thesis. Thrilled to be back in Boulder, Chris is excited to be a part of the BoulderCentre for Orthopedics & Spine team.
Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Chris was an athletic trainer, providing services to intercollegiate athletes at the University of Colorado, Colorado State University, and the Denver Broncos. He has presented on sports medicine and medical care for athletes and active individuals at various conferences, and he has been involved in community outreach focusing on the health and safety of youth sports participants.
Chris is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has worked as a physician assistant specializing in trauma, joint replacement, sports medicine, and the hand and upper extremity.

Interests
A former swim coach and consultant for the USA Swimming’s High Performance Network, Chris is never far from a pool. He enjoys all manner of aquatic activities, as well as football, golf, skiing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
