Joint Replacement & Revision
Our specialty-trained joint replacement and revision doctors at BoulderCentre for Orthopedics & Spine are the area's distinguished experts in the diagnosis and treatment of patients' joint injuries and conditions.
As we age, our joints start to deteriorate from the wear and tear they've endured over the years. Most joint pain can first be treated by nonsurgical options such as over-the-counter medications, physical therapy, or injections. However, as joint pain progresses and gets worse, there are times when conservative treatments do not provide the necessary relief, affecting your regular routine.

An experienced orthopedic surgeon can evaluate and provide a diagnosis for your condition, sometimes recommending joint replacement surgery, such as a knee replacement. If a total joint replacement is determined to be the best option, the surgeon will remove the diseased part of the joint, most commonly the hip or knee, and replace it with an implant or prosthesis. Depending on how much damage the joint has, the surgeon will either perform a partial replacement or a total joint replacement. In some cases, joint revision surgery is necessary as they do not last forever. This is where the surgeon will remove an old implant or prosthesis and replace it with a brand new one.
